quotes

“A hundred times a day I remind myself that my inner and outer life depends on the labors of other men, living and dead, and that I must exert myself in order to give in the full measure I have received and am receiving.”

-Albert Einstein

“If one reflects deeply on every aspect of one’s life, be it fame, food, shelter or everything that are conditions for one’s happiness and survival, all of these have relevance to other being’s contributions. They are dependent upon contributions of other sentient beings. So one needs to realize that there isn’t a single aspect of one’s existence where there is no participation by others’ contributions.”

-The Dalai Lama

自爱是报恩, 付出是感恩,

懂得知恩报恩才是真正有福报的人生

《静思小语》

Gratitude

1.
How deeply you feel gratitude
is how deeply
you treasure and enjoy your blessings.

2.
If we should be grateful
even to our greatest “enemies”
for perfecting one’s patience,
how can we ever be ungrateful to anyone?

3.
Just as contentment for what one has is the greatest wealth,
gratitude for what one receives is the greatest satisfaction.

4.
Ingratitude is the beginning of the end of one’s blessings,
just as gratitude is the beginning of their perpetuation.

5.
To take even the smallest thing in life for granted
is to not be grateful enough.
